From the Pastor
A man once approached Jesus with a question. "Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?" Jesus replied, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'" (Matthew 22:34-40)
The Great Commandment (which has two parts) is central theme of the Christian faith, and an essential point of guidance for Christians and their churches. The people of White Rock Presbyterian Church strive to keep the Great Commandment at the center of our worship, fellowship, discipleship, and service.
WRPC is a small but vibrant community of saints dedicated to faithful discipleship under Jesus. We understand Christ to hold claim to every facet of our lives individually and together, and we rejoice in our constantly growing relationship with him.
In Jesus we gather to worship the living God, to grow in mutual love for one another, to develop together as disciples, and to serve others in our community and throughout the world. White Rock Presbyterian has a very long history of reaching out beyond the doors of the building to serve people in Christ's name.
We warmly welcome others to join us in our common journey of discipleship. If you are new to Los Alamos/White Rock, we invite you to come and worship with us, to meet our folks, enjoy our company, and sense our dedication to Christ and his mission in the world.
Loving God. Loving neighbors. That's what we are all about. Come and see.
Peace and joy in the living Christ,
John Guthrie, Pastor
